Himalayan Café & Desserts mountain and steam mark Himalayan Café & Desserts Grand Rapids · 28th Street

The cafe

A Nepali family, a pastry case, and 28th Street.

“Nepali family bringing Himalayan warmth to Grand Rapids.”

That is how Himalayan Café & Desserts describes itself. The room sits at 2950 28th St SE — a cafe, dessert shop, and bakery in one, with a side board they call A Taste of Nepal.

Guests come for steamed momos and jhol momo, then stay for strawberry Napoleon, ube cheesecake, baklava, and milk tea. Others come only for a custom cake and a quiet table. Both are the point.

As of September 2026, dine-in is available and they are not offering a full breakfast menu. Morning coffee and matcha still start at 8am Tuesday through Saturday.

They do not run a separate website cart. Call, walk in, or send an Instagram message for cakes.
